Make an Immediate Impact

Annual Fund & MPC President’s Circle

Gifts to the Annual Fund allow us to meet the most pressing needs as they arise. They support all of the programs and services we offer, and therefore have an immediate impact on the student experience.

Gifts of $1,000 or more to the Annual Fund grant membership to the MPC President’s Circle. President’s Circle members enjoy a close affiliation with the College, and are invited to participate in a number of campus traditions and events, including behind-the-scenes experiences created specifically for the MPC President’s Circle.

Reinvest in Our Community

Business Partners

At the MPC Foundation, we believe education transforms lives—and local businesses like yours are vital to that transformation. By becoming a Business Partner, you'll directly help students succeed by funding scholarships, providing essential textbooks, and offering emergency assistance.

Scholarships

The diverse communities we serve trust Monterey Peninsula College to educate their most precious resource: people. Through the generous gifts entrusted to us, the Foundation provides over 300 scholarships annually to MPC students and incoming high school graduates through a combination of endowed, named, and unrestricted gifts.

The most valuable gift you can give is the gift of an education. Your investment in student assistance programs opens up avenues to higher education that are out of reach for many individuals throughout our community, and lets our students know that you believe in them. We respect the fact that you are the donor. You decide where you want your funds to help. We welcome the opportunity to work with you.

For more information about scholarships, please contact Gina Bianchi, Senior Director of Development, at gbianchi@mpc.edu or (831) 646-4086.

Evans College Incentive Program

Our signature program is the Evans College Incentive Program, which has invested nearly $1 million in more than 550 students who otherwise may never have gone to college to enroll full-time at MPC since 2015.

Internships

Students' academic and career goals are positively impacted when they have the opportunity to experience work-based learning. Recognizing this, the MPC Foundation collaborates with MPC’s Work Experience program to facilitate internship placement throughout Monterey County.

Since lower income students often can’t afford to participate in unpaid internships that may be offered by non-profit organizations, government agencies, or small start-up businesses, MPC Foundation provides stipends to qualifying students so that they can take advantage of these valuable work experiences, rather than working low-skill jobs that don’t offer the same professional networking and skill-building opportunities.

Stipends are currently funded by generous donors and funding agencies, including the Monterey Peninsula Foundation and Chevron. In addition, we are actively building an Internship Endowment Fund that will provide a sustained source of revenue for future generations of students.

One of our students who completed an internship at the Naval Post Graduate school explains, “[My internship] positively influenced me by giving me the opportunity to earn extremely valuable practical experience, making me realize that I can do so much more than I thought I could in terms of being a lab scientist, and teaching me about the many careers I didn't know existed in biochemical and chemical engineering. My experience introduced me to a great mentor and great people in STEM."

Helping Students Stay on Track

Emergency Assistance Program

We believe that financial hardships should never be the reason a student is forced to abandon their education. That’s why we offer Emergency Assistance Grants—a vital resource designed to help MPC students overcome unexpected financial obstacles and stay enrolled in their courses.
