Evans College Incentive Program

The Evans College Incentive Program (CIP) isn’t just another scholarship—it’s a life-changing opportunity for students who might otherwise never make it to college. Established in 2015 with a generous lead gift from a local couple, CIP directly addresses the barriers that prevent many talented young people in Monterey County from pursuing higher education.

Breaking Barriers, Changing Futures

CIP focuses on at-promise students—those who have the potential to succeed but face significant challenges. By partnering with over 60 schools and youth-serving agencies, the program identifies students who need extra support to transition into college and thrive.

More Than Just Financial Aid

While CIP provides up to $4,500 in direct financial assistance, its impact goes far beyond money. Students receive:

  • Guidance and wraparound support to help them navigate college life
  • Mentorship and encouragement to keep them on track.
  • A structured path to success, including a $1,000 incentive when they transfer to a four-year university.

Support that Makes a Direct Impact

Since its inception, CIP has invested nearly $1 million in more than 550 students, transforming lives and creating new college graduates from communities where higher education has often felt out of reach.

By supporting CIP, you’re not just funding education—you’re breaking cycles of poverty, opening doors, and inspiring a new generation of leaders.

Join us in making a difference. Every contribution helps a student take that crucial first step toward a brighter future.
